Wudinna is an Eyre Peninsula
rural service town located 563 km n-w of Adelaide. The area
is known as granite country and is surrounded by
extensive wheat lands and grain silos near town.
Pastoral settlement began in 1860s and the name is
thought be derived from the Aboriginal word
meaning 'granite hill'.
