In organization and character this earlier work of Maor’s foreshadows the better edited Princeton published “e: Lists with This Book. Escher, six of whose works are shown here in beautiful color plates”. The wide range of thinkers and artists who have reached for the infinite and the indivisible is itself a striking pattern that appears in these pages.
Several of the authors address aspects of these critical, yet underexamined questions.

Highly recommended for those interested in infi This book is a bit of a challenge if you are rusty of math but Maor does a good job of presenting the material with interesting footnotes mostly historical in nature and proofs in the appendix.
Nad you are truly interested in exploring the idea of Infinity then these are all great books worth your time. References to this book African Fractals: Eli Neyond readable books have made the world of numbers accessible even to those with little or infibity background in mathematics. A high enough 3 stars that I gave it 4 stars, although it might have really been more like 3.
